佳句赏析：

 

It is likely that anyone reading this book has access to more forms of media than their grandparents could have ever dreamed of.

 

句型解析：

 

It is likely that + 一个句子

 

它的意思是： …(某事) 是有可能的。

 

anyone reading this book = 这本书的任何读者

 

用了一个[ing-分词短语]，后置修饰 anyone

 

其实这里也相当于 anyone who reads this book

 

has access to more forms of media = 有机会接触到更多的媒体形式

 

could have done 表达的是：[本能够做某事，却没有做到]

 

ever 在这里是加强语气的作用，表达这件事很难做到

 

单词解析：

 

dream of + sth.

 

e.g. 他梦想荣誉。

 

He dreamed of honors.

 

他只渴望快乐。

 

He dreams of nothing but pleasure.

 

b)

 

dream of + doing sth.

 

e.g. 她的梦想成为一名大厨。

 

She dreamed of becoming a chef.

 

我做梦都想不到能在这里见到你。

 

I never dreamed of meeting you here.

 

思考

 

如果后面是接一句完整的话，怎么办?

 

这个时候，我们可以直接说。 dream + that…

 

e.g. 她梦想有一天能成名。

 

She dreamed that one day she would be famous.
