托福备考-写作错误分析之三人称单数

托福写作的评分标准中对语言语法有具体的要求。本文将列举同学们常见语法错误，大家写作中应注意规避。根据以往同学常犯的错误我们将进行分析，下文中的例子均是之前同学们常写出的问题句。此处我们会重点讲解：句子写作要简洁。

 

当主语是单数性质时，其谓语也要相应用单数形式，即在动词后加s。若主语是复数，则谓语不变。此变化需要满足几个性质：1)主语是第三人称;2)是现在的时态(特例：be动词的过去式有was和were的区别);3)描述客观语气(主观语气不需要变化)。

 

例1：

 

原句：The way we deal with the environmental problems are crucial to the prosperity of human-being.

 

修改：将are改为is。

 

原因：主语是the way，为单数。

 

例2：

 

原句：My aunt worked at sales department which only have five persons.

 

修改：将have改为has。

 

原因：主语是which，which指代department，而department为单数，故动词要使用单数。

 

例3：

 

原句：Good education from the teachers often attract good students.

 

修改：将attract改为attracts。

 

原因：主语是education，为单数。

 

例4：

 

原句：Devoting themselves in long time training enable them to be tired and bored easily.

 

修改：将enable改为enables。

 

原因：主语是devoting，为单数。

 

例5：

 

原句：It can be imagined that the reaction in classroom is not acute, which pose a negative effect the efficiency on absorbing knowledge.

 

修改：将pose改为poses。

 

原因：pose的主语是which，which指代前面事情，为单数。

 

例6：

 

原句：What’s more, not getting a great deal of money help us raise the awareness that we are supposed to save money and spend it on the right place.

 

修改：将help改为helps。

 

原因：help的主语是not getting，为单数。
